Boys Basketball

Our boys have continued to practice with their basketball skills and working on their conditioning as well.  We are set with total numbers of boys that have dedicated themselves to the gator basketball program, 25 7th graders and 38 8th graders.  Our 7th and 8th grade B-teams will be having their 1st game of the season tomorrow as they visit the Vela Panthers.  Our 7th and 8th grade A-teams have 2 more days to practice before their 1st game, also playing away against the Vela Panthers.  Good luck to both our A and B teams on their 1st games this week.

Girls Basketball

Congratulations to the 7th grade Lady Gators basketball team for their 22-9 win on Tuesday's night game against Miller Jordan.   Scoring for the Gators were Vivian Granados with 12 pts., Natalia Chavez with 6, Mia Quintanilla with  2, and Alexis Palafox added another 2.   Great team effort girls!

Our 7th grade Lady Gators "A" team took a tough loss against Miller Jordan yesterday.  Score was 21-32.  Top Scorers of the night were Valerie Prezalini  and Shiloh Jones with 5 points each.  The girls are doing a much better job and they fought till the end.  Good job girls!  Our next game will be against Berta Cabaza next Thursday here at home.  Please come out and support your Lady Gators!

Tennis

Our tennis team will get back to work this afternoon as they will be getting ready for their game next tournament, which will give them plenty of time to improve on their tennis skills.  Their next tournament is scheduled for Saturday January 12th, in Harlingen.

Boys Soccer

Our boys’ soccer program started their 1st day of the season the Thursday right before our Thanksgiving break.  Today will be their 2nd day of practice after school.  Coach Miller had 25 boys that started their 1st day of soccer on that Thursday and that number could grow today as more boys might be staying for their 1st day of practice.  They will be preparing for their 1st game of the season which will be this coming Saturday December 1st.  Good luck to our boys’ soccer game this Saturday!!

Girls Soccer

Our girls’ soccer program also started their 1st day of practice for their season the Thursday before going out for Thanksgiving break.  They will also have their 2nd day of practice this afternoon.  Coach Calvillo had 32 girls show up for their 1st day of practice and that number, just like the boys, could go up today as well.  Our girls will be preparing for their 1st game this Saturday as well.
